« on: January 16, 2018, 01:50:13 PM »
Hi
I looking at buying a abarth punto evo. I have found a punto evo scorpione for sale and I want to know if there is any way of confirming it is a genuine scorpione.
Thanks
Matthew

Go on the Abarth official web site, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on SPECIAL SERIES...
YOU WILL NEED THE VIN NUMBER OF THE CAR , then you can check if its on the Abarth Register, that should confirm if its genuine or not.
Hope that helps Matt.

Very rare.......... as far as I recall, there were only ever 10 in the UK.

One of the other owners posted quite a comprehensive thread on them some while back.........

Hi, I own a scorpione and researched them quite a lot, I know the registration number of all 10, although 1 was written off a couple years ago, I have built a website all about the Abarth Punto including the Scorpione, www.abarthpunto.co.uk I know three other owners and the date each of the 10 were built, go to my Facebook page Abarth Punto evo Scorpione, all the details are on there. One way to tell if it's genuine is the  scorpione never had cruise control, all evo s have it also, the Matt stripes are sprayed on not vinyl hope that helps.
