Engine management light

I got a 595 Trofeo a few weeks ago its 2 years old and i love it i filled it with petrol then the management light stays on the car runs fine i have some lowering springs fitted and asked the guy the clear the light (i know i should have asked what code it was ) the was was fine not light filled it up again same thing management light on again,has anyone got any ideas what it can be is there a sensor in the fuel tank am i doing something wrong any help will be appreciated..

Have you plugged in code reader to get get code error

I think it was that i had not  put the petrol cap on properly they even have videos on You tube showing the correct way to do it so it must be a common problem

I would check the sensor on the fuel filler area and see if its bunged up or not operating correctly first as it sounds like it's that.

iI bought a code reader and it came up as a P0141 code a post cat 02 sensor so i will get one and see if that stops the engine light keep coming up on the dash i did speak to a guy at a specialist  who did sat the loose fuel cap will put up that code but i cant see it myself but will soon fond out.

That is very strange the light comes on and coincides with fuel being put in.
The 02 sensor after the cat doesn't do a huge amount from what I understand.
I have you get it sorted as having an engine light on is bloody annoying I know that🤦‍♂️
