Waxed the car
« on: March 19, 2015, 10:47:59 AM »
That proud that I thought I would make this a topic of it's own in the detailing section  8) So gave the car a clean, been polished this year so just a layer of Temptation Wax, by far the best results I have got so far!

Have a few mods planned, spent too much money on detailing stuff this month  ::)

When I get my wage on the 28th thinking of ordering a Leather gator, Heko deflectors, possibly genuine car mats and a custom Esseesse plate for the interior, just to add a bit more class inside. Will up the look the Leather dash cowl and Abarth synthetic leather shoulder pads (Rear) currently in the car give 8)

I only got it as it's apparently the easiest AF wax to use and also there cheapest, thought I would go with that as my first go. They do a wax specific to light colour cars called Soul and another for dark paints like yours, think it may be called Illusion, I am sure that would do a terrific job on yours! :)

i thought the Esseesse already came with the Leather Gator? I don't think they come cheap either. I was gonna buy the supersport mats on eBay but theres no way im paying £53 for them, ill wait until they will accept offers for them.

No you only get the leather gator and leather dash cowl if you spec the half leather abarth seats upgrade, mines has been spec'd with the cloth Sabelt racing seats in it so only had the textured gator and plastic dash cover. The leather cover I bought and fitted myself but cost £130... Gator for around £35 seems ok!

I am sure the Esseesse mats are on parts world for quite cheap are they not?

Think it is ridiculous logic myself considering the sabelts are a step above the half leather seats, yet they get the extra spec items... the sabelts are top of the range in the Punto... classic italian logic lol...

Mats are mats, they are all the same shape, just a different stitching! :P

There are also Assetto Corse mats there for only £32, same as the Esseesse mats but both do not have the two pins for fitting to the floor so not interested. Trying to get a reduced price for the genuine mats with just the abarth badge on the drivers mat.
