Now an established part of the season's calendar, the Brooklands Autumn MotorSport Festival takes place on Sunday 13th October. It is one of the last big outdoor events of the 2019 season, and there's going to be lots to make it a memorable finale - and I hope that is not just a description of the weather (who can forget the rain at the 2018 event?!).
For those who have not been to Brooklands for a while, you will be amazed at the transformation of the site, which is now restored back to how it was in its heyday in the 1930s, with the long start/finish straight that leads up to the banking, and a lot of work has been done on the buildings and many of the planes. There will be lots of cars to see, too. Static displays of a very varied selection of competition cars from all ages will encompass Formula 1, F5000, CanAm, GTs, Touring cars, Group B rally cars and historic cars like the record breaking 1933 Napier Railton – holder of the outright lap record at Brooklands - will all be on show and the site will be filled with a variety of interesting road cars, with a decided Italian bias. Some of the competition cars will be put through their paces on the Mercedes-Benz World test track, and selected cars will also run up the demanding Brooklands Test Hill.
There will be a dedicated Abarth parking area.
As before, those with competition, special or interesting cars are invited to apply for a space in the Mercedes-Benz World track demonstration and everyone is invited to apply for a run up the Test Hill. To apply for the track parade, you need to contact Phil Ward directly on mail@philwardevents.com Test Hill registration will be possible on the day.
