Indicators
« on: June 10, 2019, 03:36:15 PM »
Hi
I wonder if anyone can help with this?
Recently had an indicator bulb failure so thought I would replace all four with led ones.
Having got them installed I tested the hazards first and they worked fine.
But when I tested each side separately they flashed really quickly.
Anyone out know why this might be??

I have no experience of this on modern cars, but on classics if you switch to LEDs you need to change the flasher can.  The reason is that LEDs draw much less current than filament bulbs, and therefore don't power the flasher can to operate correctly.  I don't know if current models still use flasher cans, but you may need a change of component to make them work.
