Seat Wear
« on: May 25, 2019, 03:03:59 PM »
I know this has been talked about before but from what I gather more and more spider owners are have problems with the seats collapsing and excessive wear and  on the Facebook site the word is that the early cars didn't have these problems I cant really see that myself as the seats are all made in the same place,.
I haven't had any problems with mine but I have done less than 2000 miles so maybe I have got that problem to come, but it seems to be true as on Facebook only the later cars seem to have problems so has anyone one with an early car had seat problems.

Cheers Geoff

I've only done about 8-10k in my car, no. 440, and the seats are still pristine in every respect.  Doesn't get daily use, though.

Mine are still as new after 21 months and around 6k miles, so not seen excessive use yet!

My 67 plate seats started to show signs of wear after about 3k. Just passed 13k and I wouldn't say they are a lot worse. Still not good enough for a £30k car. Apparently Abarth will replace them if you moan enough.

to be honest even if they did replace them they will do the same again mines a 67 plate but next to no miles on it so my seats are fine but im sure in the future mine will go the same way I will just take them to a proper repair place and get them done properly
