Anyone who has ever been to Prescott Hill, on the slopes of the Cotswolds, just north of Cheltenham, is quickly charmed by the setting, the general ambience of any event held there and the fascinating array of cars that assemble there. It is home to the Bugatti Owners Club, and there have been hill climbs since 1938. The largest event of the year takes place at the end of May, and after being focus on all things French, as La Vie en Bleu the scope was expanded a couple of years ago to encompass all things Italian as well, hence it is now La Vie en Bleu and La Vita Rossa.
The weekend sees a full program of activity on the hill, with over 200 cars entered on each day, among the a round of the Ferrari Challenge and a special class for the legendary pre-war ERA racers. Special displays in the Paddock will include everything from the latest Bugatti Chiron and Veyron hypercars, as well as a vast number of other Bugattis, this being the 90th anniversary of the Bugatti Owners Club, and among the Italian stars will be the Beast of Turin, a fire-spitting 28 litre record-breaker from 1913. There will also be live dancing and music, as well as stalls selling French and Italian themed food and drink. The Orchard includes extensive displays of Italian and French cars, and that could include you.
