Just looking for an answer
« on: December 18, 2018, 02:33:46 AM »
Hello,
I’m not an owner but I am a fan. Came upon this beauty today on the back lot of a repair center and wanted to learn more. The shop was closed otherwise I would have inquired there. Not trying to troll anyone but I’ve honestly never seen a car like this before.

It's an Abarth 1000 Bialbero, dating from the very early 1960s.  An evolution of the 750GT Zagato and later Balbero, which were the first Abarths built with bespoke bodies as opposed to using the Fiat 600 shell, the cars were based on the 600, but with enlarged and more powerful engines. After a disagreement with Zagato, the bodystyling had to be changed sufficiently to make it look different.

There are a number of survivors, and they are worth good money when restored.
