Hi all , i`m sure you are all aware of the number of Abarths being stolen nationwide.
I have been in contact with a company in Pershore Worcestershire  SAILES AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRONICS.
They supply Universal OBDsaver Security Locks.  They are willing to offer a small discount on the price for Abarth club owners.

Do you have to remove the ODB port from the dashboard to use one of their savers?
That's what puts me off these devices.

I believe the Saver is screwed directly into the OBD port,  nothing needs removing.  Fitting my Saver on Friday, i`ll let you know how it goes.

What's worrying for me is that we sometimes leave it parked with the dog in it - and as much as I'd hate to lose the car - it's just metal and replaceable - but if something happened to the dog it would be devastating.

OBD-SAVER fitted today .  As i was having a winter service check today , i asked the local Dealership to fit the unit.
Response from the technician who fitted it was  " straight forward and easy to fit, no parts need removing and everything need to to fit the unit was in the box "
Cost me £20.00 for fitting but the main thing was getting feedback from the technician.  I also spoke to one of the sales guys in the showroom about it, he is going to order one for a new Abarth that his wife has just taken delivery of.

I've just ordered and fitted the OBD lock, delivered for £104 in the end, I forgot to ask for Matt!

Very easy to fit, as simple as push the lock over the port, screw the 4 screws into the port using the provided driver and key.
keep the driver at 90degree to the screws or it can start to tilt over forcing the key out/off the screw head.

Very pleased it was that simple and feel just a little bit easier leaving the car.
Biggest concern was to sticker the window or not, went with the sticker in the end as a deterrent.

Had an attempt on mine even with the stickers visible. Get a full Disklok  too.
