Keeping car clean over winter in a garage
« on: October 07, 2018, 12:05:54 AM »
I have a red spider im giving it a good clean and then locking it away for the winter I used to have a yellow VXT for many years and every winter I locked it in the garage started it up (With the garage door open) every couple of weeks and I used to wipe it over with a damp multifibre cloth to keep the dust off but I was told not to do the same with the spider as the dark red paint will show all the swills in the paint I never noticed this on my vx but maybe it was because it was yellow.

Anyone got any advice.

Cheers Geoff

Mopping over a dusty car with a damp cloth is never a good idea, swirl marks galore . Might be worth trying to get a very soft car cover for winter.

I bought a great indoor cover for my New ABARTH 124 from CLASSIC ADDITIONS ... it was a Super Soft Stretch Indoor Car Cover - XS - Black (other colours available) with a Colour ABARTH Logo printed on it ... great quality and fit

Can`t see the logic in using a dust blower personally, just blows the dust around and then settles again. Would seem to be rather counter productive .

I have decided not to get a cover for my car in the garage I will give it a god clean at the end of this month put a trickle charger on and  take it out a couple of times to give it a run over the winter SORTED
