Remap from Celtic tuning

Hi everyone
I'm new, so very sorry if you've had this conversation before...
Got my 124 Spider a couple of months ago and love it dearly. But...I had a mini cooper s with works 210 pack before and that felt a fair bit quicker.
So I'd like to get the Spider tuned up to about 200bhp and I hear celtic tuning are good. They can do 205bhp for £360 which sounds reasonable. They say they've tuned loads of spiders now and never had any issues. I'm based in bromsgrove and they can send a mobile filter to me.
Anyone used them before? Any good? Any issues? Any recommendations?

I think US tuners have had this engine up and over 250 bhp so the engine should be fine with 200bhp (frankly I'd have been throwing money at Abarth if the GT had come with 205bhp like I expected it would, it weighs less than the new Alpine, 200-220 bhp would have been fantastic), the main issue I think would be the gearbox, but that should be fine with 205bhp and it would be higher power that it would struggle with.

Yeah I think 205 horses will be ideal, it's already a pretty quick car so long as you're in the right gear and have some revs on the clock!
Might need to get the exhaust checked as well, it gets a bit clattery above 3000 rpm in sport mode so I think the flaps might be malfunctioning.
Other than that, what a great car.

I have a spider I got mine mapped by CC tuning in Burton On Trent its running 205 Bhp and was very happy with the service.

yes iys all set up on the dyno and you can feel the difference right away check them out online

I was wrong I had a good look at my dyno readout and its 201 BHP

I used Celtic tuning for my map on the spider, at first didn't feel all that different. I had a 595 comp 160 mapped and the difference off the mark was amazing, but then ran out of puff in 3rd gear. The 124 has the bigger Garret turbo, don't know how much difference that makes, but once its wound up its stupidly quick, little tip, don't turn traction control off!

i was recommended CC tuning but the guy who bought my VXT I have noticed a big difference especially through the gears dnt have to change down as much and pulls much better I had the springs lowered a while ago so its just the way I wanted it now very pleased

Resurrecting an old thread here.

How was the power spread on the CC and Celtic tuning efforts? The 124 lacks anything above 5000RPM so I want the 200+ BHP tune but I also want the remap to not be the generic focus most tuners do in the mid-range.

I was very happy with CC tuning i found it pulled fine through all the rev band and and i also found that you dont have to go up and down the gears  so much it pulls better
