OCD oil cap alignment!
« on: November 10, 2017, 10:35:18 AM »
So I recently got one of the nice Alloy Oil and Petrol cap sets for the 595.

Only problem is, in the engine, the Abarth logo on the Oil cap doesn't line up straight when the oil filler cap is tightened all the way down.

I had a look at the little clip underneath that attaches to the yellow plastic part of the cap and there seems to be no way of adjusting the it.

OCD i know but it bugs me! Any ideas folks?

I'm with you on the fuel filler cap, it annoys me that it it never sits "right",  but this is a step too far for me, how many times do you look under the bonnet anyway? :)

That is some OCD Toby!!  But feel your pain... the thread is single, not double, so there is only one way to line it up and it always ends up facing upside down. JL has had to work hard to get over this herself.  Wouldn’t get that on a Bentley!  If you find a way to solve this, let me know.  Apparently you can also get an alloy cap for the water bottle too, and I bet that brings similar perfection issues. Good luck my friend... A

Can’t recall, thought it might have been Partsworld but just looked and not there. Think it was part of the Biposto kit. I’ll keep surfing and post if I find it again.

The Biposto caps are a titanium colour so don't expect them to match. If you're OCD about things like me get the oil & fuel caps to match.
