Hasn't been huge interest on this forum especially, just from the No. of people who have responded. how are you getting on with numbers Colin?. Is this the same as the one last year at Coventry Transport Museum?  That one was fantastic.

Over 130 people on Facebook have said that they are interested, which does make this viable. I will be confirming with the venue in the next few days - and once that is done, I will announce the venue.

The idea is to make this the biggest Abarth event of the year.

Thanks to a very positive response to this, I have gone ahead and changed my reservation to a commitment.

So now I can confirm what a couple of people guessed: the venue is the Bicester Heritage site. We will have the entire "technical site" (ie not the airfield) to ourselves. This is going to be THE Abarth event of the year.

Tickets will be on sale early in 2018, but please etch the date in your diaries now.

And if you want to see what the location is like, don't forget that we are attending the Sunday Scramble there on Sun 7th January. See the separate thread for details on how to book tickets for that one.

Here is an early warning of what will be THE Abarth Owners Club event at the year.

We have made a provisional booking for the exclusive hire of an interesting location for an Abarth Summer meeting on Sunday 3rd June. As well as providing a very accessible central location for Abarth Owners to meet up en masse, (we will not run out of space even if we get 500 cars!), the site has huge appeal to the photographers among you. This unique setting contains a lot of old  buildings, many of them restored, and we will be free to move cars around the site all day, which will give everyone the opportunity to shoot cars individually and in groups with all manner of great backdrops. The extensive grounds include an area with built-in BBQ facilities, and there are plenty of areas where people will be able to spread out their own picnics, according to preference. In addition, we plan to have an Abarth Dealer on site, with some of the latest models on show, and some form of concours competition. 

Full details will be supplied once the event is confirmed. As there is a significant (fixed) cost to hire the venue, I need to be sure we have enough interest to make this financially viable, so please could you post here to indicate whether you would support this event or not.

I had been hoping to come up with a new date, but trying to find a slot that works for the venue and does not clash with other events has defeated me.
