Audio system - upgrade advice needed

Hi folks. I have had the Trofeo a few weeks now and can't help thinking the standard audio system isn't the best!

It kind of feels like all the settings I try on the stereo make little difference.

So, whats peoples thoughts on getting the front door speakers swapped out for a better sound?

Hi mate, I picked up my Trofeo yesterday and I love it, back to your question, have you turned the loudness option on? I thought the same as you until I found this and I think it's ok know. But I think I'll upgrade the speakers. Any idea what upgrade speakers you will go for?

Yep I have tried a load of different settings for both Loudness and the EQ.

I am researching speakers at the moment and have just been quoted £275 for a front speaker upgrade (alpine) via a local car audio specialist.

This seems a tad steep to me!

It does indeed when there is an Alpine upgrade kit on eBay for the 500 for £80... for what it's worth, having just moved from a series 3 with Interscope to a series 4 with 7" infotainment thingy, the sound quality is pretty good. It's no AC/DC concert volume, but concerns and immediate upgrade considerations have been calmed

Noddy, I replaced the OE speakers with some JL Audio C2's and the difference is night and day. I also replaced the rears, just need to fit an amp + sub if I really want to get the most from them.

I think that's the thing, having had the Interscope system in the old car it was perhaps me expecting too much of the setup Abarth offer as standard.

Hi Mate, what size are the front & Rear speakers, I'm looking just to upgrade the speakers

Eggey, I had 165mm speakers front and rear, also replacing the tweeters up front. The rears needed a little bit of metal removed for fitment but nothing major.

So, the red beastie is booked in for an Audio upgrade this week 

Its having some JL audio components up front and some JL audio 2 ways in the back.

I can't wait!

What sort of cost is it to upgrade the audio?

And is it easy to get DAB?

So it's done! JL audio 650 components up front and coaxials in the rear.
The standard paper cone speakers are in the bin and really were a joke🤣
I'm very pleased with the results and the sound definition😀

A nice neat install carried out by Unique Integrations in High Wycombe.
