Wheel sealant?
« on: February 18, 2015, 10:59:59 AM »
I'll be getting my Esseesse wheels back from being refurbished on Saturday and want to put some proper protection on them.

The finish is going to be Matte, so need something non-shiny to seal them with.

Suggestions?

I was thinking about Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour, but I can't find anything that confirms if this is matte friendly?

C5 is a really good sealant, but it really pays to have it done by an authorised detailer for Gtechniq to get the most out of it!

Not decided on a wheel sealant myself but leaning towards AF mint rim or poorboy wheel sealant, both have very good reviews!

Ive got a sample of slick rims with enough to do 4 wheels,

Apparently its really good stuff, and lasts for 10,000 miles.

Will sell it for 5 quid delivered if you want to try it!

Thanks Bertie but the website keeps banding "Ultra Deep Gloss" as a USP - not something I want to go near newly refurbished matte wheels with :(

I use wheel armoral.

Pros: eaay spray on
No mess

Cons
8 quid for a small can
Durability could be better but does work well.

Will I have used poorboys wheel sealant and that is good but Platinum Wheels by Carbon Collective absolutely smashes that out of the park, it is for matte and gloss finishes plus it is so simple to use. Check out there Instagram page for videos and pics

I use this too, it's expensive when you first buy but will last for ages and makes it super easy to clean after
