Tried and failed
« on: May 15, 2016, 09:46:15 PM »
Hey, recently I took some good advice from brian1612 regarding the removal of some scratches from my red abarth, I was told it would take some serious elbow grease to remove them by hand. After spend a fair amount of time on them, they aren't budging. Can anyone recommend a good place I could get it looked at professionally in Leicester? Or near Leicester? Thanks in advance

Are the scratches white RCH and you can feel them under your finger nail?

Then the ones that aren't & you can feel are light enough that they can be removed. As soon as you end up with white scratches they have usually gone through the clear coat and much more difficult to remove, usually better to fill them. A good machine polish should sort or at least greatly improve your paintwork bud!

Ahh sweet! I've managed to fade the weird mark substantially with the advice you gave me before, but looks like i'll have to invest in a machine polisher for the rest
