Will old polishing compounds still work?

I've got some Menzerna polishing compounds to use with a DA polisher and the bottles indicate a shelf life of 2 years but I have probably had them for 4 or 5 years.  Does anyone know if they would still be usable after this length of time?

Put a little between your fingers and see what it's like.
