They are supposed to, but whether they do is another matter ;)

You can buy the BMC cleaner kit; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMC-Air-Filter-Washing-Kit-with-Cleaning-Fluid-Detergent-Squeeze-Oil-WA250-500-/270929878009

Its quite specific on how you use it, so worth reading the instructions or watching a video how :)

Thanks bert.

If the dealer does clean it, i wonder if they clean them differently?i thought it was maby a matter of stick in soapy water and that was it?

As far as I can remember you have to re-oil it after cleaning. The kit will come with its own instructions for you to follow.
ABARTH GRANDE PUNTO 155
OEM Short Aerial, BMC Panel Filter, Abarth Tyre Pressure Monitors, Esseesse Springs, De-Wipered Rear,  LED Interior Lights,
Punto Evo Pedals, Punto Evo Gear Knob, Sabelt Tow Strap, Supersprint Exhaust.

I suggest getting the K&N filter regeneration kit, same stuff except comes in an aerosol can so easier and quicker to use, also cheaper than BMC's!

It's a simple process and I for one from own experience can confirm dealerships don't bother cleaning them at a service. My car was just under 3 years old when I got it, first thing I done was check the filter out and to my horror found it filthy black! regenerated it just before christmas!  8)

I think every 12,000?

I may be wrong though!

I think that's correct Bert, not sure of that is miles or km though... but personally would do it once a year, almost like a standard yearly service you change air filter ;)
