Do you think so?

I find the Pirelli's to be quite the death trap in the wet, my car wheel spins like mad and the back end seems to like stepping out at as little as 20-30 mph around corners.

Well the 500 is a light car and standard spec already as quite a lot of torque, so your going to will spin especially in wet weather or icy roads. TTC helps when it's on in the dry, I'd turn it off in snow.

Happy with the Pirellis though.

I can say the same. The Pirelli P Zero are good in the dry but not so good in the wet.

Yeah I saw your picture, are you driving flat out all the time to wheel spin? I tend to stay in a higher gear that helps reduce the wheel spin.

I get happy sometimes and just want put the pedal down but don't want shred my tyres, tend to just ease up the power and stops the spinning.

Use this site to help find tyres and you can compare the ratings vs your budget.

http://www.tyresavings.com

Continental Sport Contact 5 has good ratings and Hankook Ventus V12 Evo-2 this is based on the 500 Abarth.

Put your number plate in and it will give you various options, then you can just Google the specific tyre and making to find a bargain.
