Think it is a tad expensive. wonder what the UK price will be. The car looks gorgeous but the performance is dissapointing really. Hopefully that 1.8L makes it into the production model for a sub 6s 124 but yeah, meh other than the styling.

Brian seeing the price I agree. That will translate to a 70+k car in Australia.

It does look amazing but the performance doesn't match the styling. Heck my almost fully spec'd 595 cost less than the base 124 I am guessing and it is quicker with more power... Poor show from Abarth, really annoyed by the 170 bhp.

Given guys in the US can get the Multiair up to 240 on the stock turbo I am disappointed.

Any word on weight of this?

1060kg. What is more annoying is I bet the US model comes with at least 190 bhp as the base spec... An esseesse with a similar output to drop the time below 6s would make this more appealing, price dependent as well obviously.

So much for Abarth only doing extreme models. The MX-5 Roadster GT goes for 45k here, perhaps the Abarth 124 won't be too much more otherwise they are really missing their market. Perhaps my 70k assumption was wrong.

If they don't do an SS that has 210hp at least I'll be disappointed.

Reckon its going to be £30-31k base price. They have completely missed the mark here on what visually is a stunning car. Poor show really.

I’m not that struck on the looks , I think it’s all a bit fussy. I understand why it has a black bonnet but I’m not sure about the black boot especially as the black doesn’t go all the way to the hood/cabin. I’d like to see it naked, just with the Abarth body kit.

I don’t think the fiat 124 is as successful as a recreation of the original as the fiat 500 was anyway. It think a much better example, although not a roadster, is the new Alpine, it’s really captured the old A110 whilst still being modern and not overly retro.

Apparently you can choose to have all one colour instead of the black bonnet/boot as a no cost option.

Love the new Alpine!

mixed views...

styling - even though not bad...I think its not as dramatic as I thought it would be...
black bonnet - I know its a throw back to the original but I cant say im a fan..
wheels -- they look like corsa limited edition wheels - awful

back look great
front good but could be abit more different..
seats - don't like them, they need the sabelts!
31k ....no chance.

looks like il be keeping my a500 :)

Not a fan of the wheels either but an esseesse version will change that... but a 29.5k base price. NOPE. So annoyed at Abarth, they had everything perfect until the performance and price came out. How can they mess this up so bad.

wheels look bad. the question is....abarth made a big deal of becoming "extreme" ...where is the 124 extreme?
it does look good but styling isnt in my eyes "extreme".....power isnot "extreme"....the only extreme thing is the price.

annoyed. the a500 and punto started at being an affordable car but i fear there going to be pricing people out
