So decided to try the wax as the sealant was so good. Bought it on eBay from prefectlycleaned really good service free postage and you get it next day.

Its as easy to use as the fk1000p. Do the whole car then buff, comes off so easy and spreads really easy! About 2-3 months from a single coat sven but it adds a lot more richness and deep gloss compared to fk1000p.

Nice one.  Added some of this after the fk1000p on mine, and it just finished the car off.  Just made the car that extra bit shiny and glossy.   ;D

Am I getting something wrong.

We have just had a professional detailing done on our new 595. Looks brilliant.

Are you guys saying you carry on polishing even after putting on the detailing sealant?

I can feel I am getting the urge to be constantly doing something to the car, my wife might think we have chucked some money away needlessly if I buy some wax polish now....

I got some Simoniz carnuba wax and it's awful to get off! basically if you leave it for too long i.e a couple on minutes you have to rub like a possessed gorilla, but remove it too quickly i.e. a couple of minutes...then it smears all over the place

my AG HD wax was so much better, then again it cost me 5 times as much!

may have to give this a whirl

The simoniz original stuff is terrible. It is a nightmare to use, I demoted it to a wheel wax and then when it was so time consuming to remove on the wheels, chucked it in the bin.

The fk stuff is far better and doesn't break the bank. You really can't go wrong using this stuff.

I wouldn't bother with a wax over a sealant. What sealant have you had applied @Andy595?

Benn, a wax over a sealant is actually a very common thing to do and for winter protection something I would highly recommend to ensure your LSP lasts the winter, along with looking good also ;) The wax adds the depth to the finish, something a sealant doesn't. I am actually trying to confirm whether FK1000p is indeed a sealant as I have recently been told it possibly contains Carnuba. Awaiting an answer from FinishKare about it but it may actually be a Hybrid wax as opposed to a sealant.

I would not be applying anything over Cquartz UK other than Car Pro Reload.

Depends on the LSP, Cquartz Uk won't require anything on top of it as that is designed to add 1 µm ~2.5 µm to the paintwork. Reload is a nice finishing touch on it and can help keep it topped up.

Its completley different to the likes of FK1000p, have a read about it. It contains ceramic particles which you find in glass so it adds its very own extremely durable layer on top of the paint. If the car is mint when applying it will add its own extremely glossy/highly reflective layer.

Plenty of people talk about using waxes over the top of FK1000p with no issues at all. I would add wax on top of that product myself.
