Next Service, what do i need?

Ok abi is turning 5 in april.
Shes only covered around 12700 ish miles.
The servicing shes had are the following:

1st year - oil and filter
2nd year - oil and filter
3rd year - oil and filter
4th - oil, filter, bmc air filter added, brake fluid, spark plugs.

Now ive asked for a quote on
Timing belt
oil and filter

Is there anything else i need or you guys recommend?
They said pollen filter (whatever that is)
auxilary belt? (what ever that is)

What about brake fluid and sparks?(worth replacing?)
How do i go about cleaning the bmc air filter?

Think your pollen filter is supposed to be done yearly. And its just a regeneration kit for the filter, i would suggest going with k&ns kit over bmc's as it is cheaper and includes spray can detergent and regeneration oil which are both easier to use and apply to the filter cirrectly than using bmc's squeezy bottles.

To date, I've had oil/filters every year, pollen filter every year from year 2, and brake fluid in year 3. I assume this year will be more costly.

Looking at what you had done on the 4th service i'd say the 5th service would need
oil, filter and the cambelt,
brake fluid is normally every 2yrs,

colin mate.Just to give you an idea...i spoke to guests and research today...
Theyve advised me on just having the belt done,oil and filter.
My sparks are ok for another year, brake fluid also and pollen filter i think i might leave out.

This comes as a kit for £127.75

Then
oil filter £16.39
sump washer £1.80
oil £50.40 for 2 litres.

Labour is £331.20 over 3.4 hours work.

Total price £ 527.54 without pollen filter.

pollen filter is....24.28 if i opt for it.


They did say they would do it for £500 without pollen filter if i decided against it.

I spoke to research and i think they said for a full 5 year service (which includes brake fluid and sparks etc) they want £695.They are going to get back to me with a new price as i asked for just the timing belt and oil and filter.

So yeee its the big one. (even more annoying when my brother has been told by volvo that his c30 diesel doesnt need a belt to...wait for it...100.000 miles) :O  maby because its diesel?

Brake fluid is every 2 years regardless of mileage..

Cambelt, tensioner and water pump would be on my list.

I'll get full servicing information up tomorrow
