That's really impressive. All I've ever done to any car has been shampoo, rinse and leather off!
Now I've got my Abarth I though that I'd better up my game. But I don't even understand detailing..Maybe I'm too old to learn!
Na dont be saft , not too old to learn.
I think the advice i can give you is look up detailingworld.co.uk .Lots sof good advice to help you achieve a better finish.Sometimes something so small and a simple technique like using two buckets of water.1 For the soap, the other to rinse so the dirty water stays in it.Then you only put clean water on the car reducing scratches.
Then you can build your collection from there and try out different products and see what works for you.
5 years ago i started with literally hose,1 bucket, sponge and autoglym shampoo.
Now my kit has grown to..
pressure washers, snow foam, 2 buckets, soft wash mits, clay barring, waxes, sealants, quick detailers etc.
1 Thing i certainly recommend is a clay bar. This will remove alot of contaminents embedded into the paint work and it makes the body smooth as glass. This will provide a clean surface ready to be polished. This "paint prep" is vital for a better finish.
If you dont want to go mad a simple 2 buckets, clay bar the car twice a year, polish with autoglym super resin polish and a good wax will give you a really good finish without going over the top
