Will be plenty more around the world though... they are more popular in mainland Europe aren't they?

When you consider how many are likely to be sold in Italy... I can't see it. They aren't special enough. I would imagine limited editions runs such as the Tributo, Maserati and 50th Anniversary along with the Abarth Punto Scorpione would be the most likely to increase in value in the future.

I would buy my car outright and keep it for the future if I had somewhere to store it... Sadly I don't have a garage somewhere to put her away in to protect her so may as well just enjoy her while I have her.

I'd love to keep mine and believe that it will one day be a future classic but seems most agree with you that it wont be which makes me wonder whether its worth it

I think it's popularity abroad would be very much the same as here. If you think about its competition such as the Corsa VXR, Leon Cupra, Fiesta ST, Clio Sport. People are more likely to buy a car with a proven track record. Abarth as a brand is still very much unknown.

the fact its relatively unknown does that add/remove future value or class it as a classic?

I don't think the percentage of Punto models sold is that different to what it has been in the UK..... it was always going to be more exclusive than its cheaper brother.

Is it a future classic? Absolutely........ but will it be worth mega money? That I doubt.

A bit like a original mini copper then. A classic but not worth big bucks unless it's in mint condition.
