Finally got a chance to clean the car!
« on: January 25, 2015, 10:57:28 PM »
So yesterday I finally got the chance I have been waiting for to try out my new snow foam lance and armour all products! The results on my car were brilliant  :)

I have to say, absolutely chuffed with the results, the wax I had already tried, its a pleasure to use, easily the best mix of quality/effort. The other products were the glass shield and wheel sealant, again both very easy to use, can't comment on the quality of them yet but will comment after a few weeks driving. The armour all wash and wax was also very good, nice and foamy and brought a nice shine to the car along with cleaning it.

Snow foam was brilliant as I was expecting from the comments I have seen regarding it, even managed to give my dads SQ5 a quick clean, even just a foam wash and wiped down with armour all wash and wax brought the paint work up a treat! nice shine for a simple wash.

Some photo's for you guys  8)

KK it is insanley quick by any standard, but when you then think this is a big jeep and a diesel... you realise what an amazing piece of engineering it is. But being german, there is very little drama or excitement in driving it other than flooring it in a straight line and watching the speed go.

The sound of it is also brilliant, flip it into sport and it sounds like a v8 petrol, very deep burble... but like I said it just has no drama. I have more fun driving my punto, with torque steer etc and it being lowered in SS guise with stiffer suspension, you really feel like you are going quicker with all the bumps and rattles than you are in the SQ5... you could honestly be cruising along on the motorway and not even realise you are doing 120 mph.....

The steering is far too light as well for a performance vehicle, there is absolutely no feel through it. If all that matters is speed to you and figures, they are incredible but for driving expierence/enjoyment, not for me... I suppose I am only 24 though and still in the boy racer category where as my dad is late 50s so it is ideal for him haha  :D

Stunningly clean! Very nice Brian!

You don't fancy popping down south to do mine by any chance? Should only take a couple of hours to get here in the SQ5?   ;D

Thanks CJ, as tempting as that sounds I will have to decline the offer  ;)

seriously that armour all wax is so easy to apply, no hazing required and it shines all your plastics as well, should consider getting it and trying it out, the results will likely be better for you with the metallic red paint you have!  :)

Its good for 10 washes as well, I am lucky to wash my car once a month so I would expect this to last minimum 3 months before another coat is needed  :)

If you get a colour match for the titanium you have to let us know the colour code will! 😇

I tried that about 3 years ago when I needed one of my Titanium Esseesse wheels refurbished, it's harder than you might think :(

I managed to get somewhere to successfully match the colour (they used some kind of light gun to measure the colour?) but they could never get the finish the same.

I hate to imagine how Brembo finish them in the factory but I'd love to know!!
