Best Wheel Protection
« on: June 22, 2015, 08:29:02 PM »
Due to having my wheels refurb'd at the moment, I'll have some time before moving the rubber across to them. So plenty of time to get some good protection on them.

What do you guys n girls use?

I like a wax as it falls into my own routine of waxing the car every 2 months. I used Mint Rims but also heard FK1000 Hi Temp Wax is also very good as well as good value for money, think it is more like a sealant though looks and applied like a wax ;)

Actually purchased two Finishkare wax's today, both 80% full for only £20. The FK1000p wax sealant is supposed to be good for 4-6 months and the other one, the pink wax goes on top of that for gloss.

Couldn't resist a bargain. Got 4l of Demon Shine for £8 yesterday as well, good drying aid! :)

Ended up with some GTechniq C1 and EXO v2. Applied a single coating of C1, left it for 5 hours then 2 coatings of EXO. Super simple to apply so long as you follow the procedure.

Just got to get the tyres moved over now.

I've been using Wheel Wax on various sets of wheels on my cars for about three years now on both painted and clearcoated polished aluminum.
