Naked APE
« on: January 23, 2015, 10:57:01 AM »
Some pictures of my APE. Just recently took off the red stripes and swapped the mirrors from red to black.
Mods so far are K&N induction kit and Heko wind deflectors  :)

Looking good there :thumb: I also think they look better without the stripes and I like how you have changed the mirrors to black. The wind deflectors look good too. Done a real good job there :thumb:

Cheers mate  ;) they do look best naked in my opinion. Think I need to take off the red side scorpion now though and change to a black one. Or maybe a small black one just in front of the rear wheel arch

Yep I would agree, possibly change to black but i'd have a look and see what you think after taking the red one off, as you say they do look better without more often than not :)

How is the K&N filter for you will, much change to the sound or performance +/- ?

Personally prefer the stickers to help make it stand out but I can see the attraction of the clean look, the boy racer stickers aren't to everyone taste!  ;D

Yeah I do like them with stripes but I just got bored of them really. Plus the stripes on mine had the section in after the front wheel arch missing.
The induction kit has made a huge difference to sound. Can now easily hear induction/ BOV/ turbo chatter inside with the windows up. I love it but it would probably get on some peoples nerves. Haven't noticed any difference in power plus or minus, just loads of mad sounds.
I've got some videos on my Instagram wgib if you want to have a look.
