I'd hang back with the TMC method for now. Brian is having issues with his box, and reckons its down to the new Euro 6 style engine. I believe he is having his looked into.

Exhausts will give you a nicer tone.

I've currently gone for "pocket money" style mods, wind deflector, side stripes, smoked repeaters, and most recent, a tow strap on the front (because why not?).

Got a set of springs delivered today, one of my 3 main mods. Speaking of which, I'll need to phone my insurance soon to see how much it's gonna be hiked by!

With regards to agreed values on our insurance we have two separate options. First we have the standard agreed value option with your actual insurance company. This is normally only available on classic cars or low mileage enthusiast type policies. In most cases these agreed values last for a 2 year period. The second option is for clients whose actual insurance policy doesn't offer the option of an agreed value. These are generally for standard production cars or vans used for normal use that are under 10 years old. This is done by issuing a completely seperate insurance policy that runs along side the normal motor policy. This policy is for 12 months only.

I'm in the same situation, I brought A500 on HP for 11,200. but I put down around 4k as a deposit, as it stands my car is now worth 9kish trade in, so if I was to upgrade I'd loose about 2-3k (interest ect). I fear if I start modding my car then the value is going to shoot down unless I keep all original parts and don't remap it. Again loosing money. At my age also my insurance will rise 250-500 quid a year just because of modifications but a stock 595 180 comp is only 580 quid a year to insure at the annoying age of 20.

The problem with the 160 comps is they where 18.9k new and there was nothing really different between them apart from a few visual things than the turismo granted the sabelt seats and monza (which is not what everyone wants). Now we have a 6 second car, new turbo, new stainless steel monza, breaks, ect (not sure exactly whats new) they'll hopefully hold their value better. Personally I'm waiting until next summer to pick up a 595c competetizone, always been my dream to have a convertible Abarth.  Time to get saving!
