Eggey, I had 165mm speakers front and rear, also replacing the tweeters up front. The rears needed a little bit of metal removed for fitment but nothing major.

Noddy, I replaced the OE speakers with some JL Audio C2's and the difference is night and day. I also replaced the rears, just need to fit an amp + sub if I really want to get the most from them.

I've been using Britemax Rubber Max, being water based I wasn't sure how it would last, but no sling and only a little product is required at a time. On the plus side you can get some nice beading when washing the car after.

I kept it sensible for the first few hundred, increasing the rpm's, after 500 miles I started giving it some boost.
The old school rule is drive it hard from new and it will give you power, run it in gently and it won't leak at much.

Waste of time, as soon as you go near a kerb they come off. Get some tyres that have decent shoulder protection.
