Just an FYI. After replacing all 4 disks and having the callipers re-manufactured and finished in powder coated yellow, I then decided to get the 4 wheels re-done too, again powder coated. Then the stripe was removed and replaced with the yellow one ordered.
I went from the dull red to the bright yellow. It looks great and has had lots of comments so far.

Thanks Richard.

I just bought these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B084ZVNB79/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'll look around and see if I can find someone to remove the old red ones and pop these yellow ones on for me.

Thanks again.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Side stripe replacement help.
« on: May 05, 2021, 10:17:01 AM »
Hi.

I want to replace my red stripe on the side and change it to the yellow one. I'm in Staffs, does anyone know how much these are and where I can go to get it done please?

I just dont trust myself with this job because it's too visible for all to see if I mess it up.

PS I'm taking the opportunity to do this whilst all 4 of my callipers are being re-manufactured at Big Red, and I'll have them finished in the yellow powder coat, so perfecrt timing really.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, can't help you re the size of the drain plug etc, Matt from ItaliaTec does all my servicing because getting underneath the car is just far too difficult at home.

I did see a replacement plug thing somewhere a while ago where you just turned a small valve and it drained, but I don't trust stuff like that, and Matt always pops a new brass washer on the sump plug anyway just to make sure.

Hi.

As Richard has said Shop For Parts are good, and very competitive too. (Bloody Selenia Oil is dear anywhere you go, but I wouldn’t use anything else in these engines.

I have my Oil and Oil Filter replaced twice a year along with the Plugs. Some may say it's silly, but I don't care, at 57 years of age I have done this with ALL of my cars. I am a big believer in preventative maintenance.

And when it comes to Air Filter, well Tom from Angel Tuning fitted a nice system for me that collects the cooler air from the outside via the scuttle tray, makes a Huge Difference I can tell you engine performance wise. (Much better for the engine and combustion than gathering hot air from a very hot engine bay.)

Questions / Karcher K4 Pressure washer Snow Foam Attachment.
« on: June 08, 2020, 03:15:16 PM »
Hi.

I have an older snow foam attachment and would like to get a better one than this which I have had for around 5 years.

I would love to hear what you guy's use and what you think of them. The one I have is okay, but I find it sprays the snow foam all over the place, IE the spray foam mouth is too wide which means it goes all over the place. (I will try and get the model of it when I get home and let you know.)

I would also like to have one with a 2ltr bottle, and one where you can adjust the snow foam width if at all possible so you don't have to stand so ridiculously close to the car.

Any help would be appreciated than you.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Noisey Wipers
« on: December 29, 2018, 10:44:31 AM »
Hi.

Even though I have genuine wiper blades they still seem to be very noisy when in use, it's really annoying don't you think.

They were put on new when I had a service done at Matts place (Italiatec)

Any ideas or suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks

Its because we are too flucking soft in this country with far too many do-gooders that think people just need more chances etc etc.

Go abroad to certain countries and if you get caught then a hand comes off.

Fair point, but, I would much prefer to stop it being driven away in the first place......

Gutted for you.

Someone has just had Autowatch Ghost fitted to the their Abarth - looks very good.

I thought the Ghost coulden't be fitted to the Abarths because of the canbus system? Someone else said it stated on the instructions "Do not fit to 595 / Abarth" or did I get that wrong?

Hi Both.

Neil - Not too sure what tracker yet, and if I had the ghost I don't know if I would have the tracker too!

StevieJ - That is confusing as the guy in the Midlands area that's mentioned on another forum told me he had a 4 week queue for fitting, but it would be fine for my car?

Very disappointed at the lack of response from Autowatch though, terribly poor customer service if you ignore potential customers emails!

Unfluckingly bad customer service from Fiat if you ask me. Especially as they know about the issue.

What Jackass decided to make the heater matrix install in such a way that the whole dash has to come out, and both doors removed? You just couldn't make something like this up it's that stupid.

That guy you mention sounds like a gem, and definitely someone worthy of bookmarking.

Does he have a website?

Thanks for the heads up by the way matey.

Hi.

I have contacted Thatcham and they do not have a unit on test as I was told by an installer / approved fitter. Nor do they have any in the pipework.

They have also had no contact with Autowatch.

I did email Autowatch and ask about the Insurance approval side of things and asked if it was going to be going in for approval and insurance discount purposes etc.

But that was two weeks ago. I guess I'm not going to be getting any responses.

Not the best way of encouraging customers to buy your product is it?

Hi.

With the 30 plus thefts in the Midlands alone do you think we should remove this feature?
