Introductions / Re: Grant from Essex

Welcome to the house of fun!

From what I have read, the new Monza is opened electronically.
I’ve heard that people have welded them open and you get more noise from about 1500rpm where as the exhaust tends to open up/resonate more from about 4000rpm on acceleration. I’m toying with the idea of doing it to my Monza on my Trofeo.

Introductions / A RE-Introduction
« on: February 21, 2019, 10:58:37 PM »
Good evening one and all!

I thought I’d take the time to re-introduce myself, as back in 2015 I had a beautiful little 595 which had to go much much quicker than ever planned.
I’m more than pleased to say now though that I’m back! I’ve just put a deposit down on a 68 plate Adrenaline Green Trofeo which should be in my hands over the coming few weeks, and I’ll be looking to get involved in future meets and events!

I’ll be sure to post photos and all that jazz when I can take some decent pictures of my own, but in the meantime just a quick question...

I know the Trofeo was a Limited Edition model once upon a time before the Series 4 facelift and it looks like it’s on the production line again generally now, but various sources online seem to be under the impression that the new Trofeo is also a limited run of some sort but I can’t seem to find any proof of this so I wondered if anybody could clear this up? I’m more than curious because it seems you get more for your money than the Turismo and it’s bizarrely cheaper?

Either way I look forward to getting involved with the Club again! I’m based in East Yorkshire now so I’d be happy to meet up with anybody around the area once my bambi arrives!

All the best,

Jim

would northampton come under EM?

I've actually made an East Midlands Abarth Facebook group as well, whether people are into it or not I'm still unsure but if you wish to join, I'm from Northampton myself too. :)

General Chat / What do you do for a living..?
« on: February 08, 2016, 05:49:56 PM »
I simply didn't know where this might sit on the forum so I hope you don't mind.

With everybody saving for new things and tricking their wheels out with new parts I often wonder what everybody does for a living.
Another reason I ask is because I'm looking for a change in career, I've worked in Music Retail for about 4 and a half years now but want music to remain as a hobby, since now work life and my hobby (playing in bands) have both kind of bled into each other and it's not as enjoyable any more.
I'm simply looking for inspiration at this point, have any of you guys been at this crossroads before? Any advice you could give us kids?

Bit of a random one I know, but still I hope you don't mind my nosiness.

General Chat / East Midlands Abarth Facebook Group !!!

(( If this is in the wrong place please move it, sorry! ))

I know there's the "Abarths Of Middle England" Facebook page already, but there's nothing going on around where I am at the very least. Even since I got my 595 not even 2 months ago I've seen 4-5 regularly around my area with no raving mad drivers sadly, so this is my attempt at getting some people together. If you know anybody who's around the East Midlands/East Anglia/whatever the hell you call where Northamptonshire is then please get them involved, I'm dying to meet some Abarth guys around here.
Seeing them more regularly is making me more and more frustrated that I know none of their drivers. Especially that one that loves to run away on the dual carriageway when I chase it on the way home!

I could join in when you pass MK, assuming you are coming up the M1 -or meet at one of the services (Watford Gap is just before the M45 exit)

I'm thinking of hopping the M1 and joining you from Northampton too. This could be fun!

Can somebody please bring a portable hairdryer so I can get this dealership sticker off my back window? I feel like Oliver won't talk to me otherwise  ::) I need to apply my AOC decals elsewhere because I'll be having the back window tinted as dark as possible maybe even before the meet.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Re: How far can you go?
« on: January 30, 2016, 11:44:00 AM »
I do about 45 miles a day for work and roughly get about 200 out of it sitting at 70 in my 595. Maybe that's my problem? I have to work hard to average a 42mpg run. Maybe it's the weather...
