Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Re: Replacement tyres

I’ve just fitted 4 new P Zero Nero’s onto mine and Tyre Leader was the cheapest until my Abarth dealer beat them. Worth checking.

If it’s standard it will have Abarth only. If it’s Turismo or Compitizione it’s a 595.

Since I did mine I’ve seen someone on eBay selling them but I bought three 5 metre rolls of 10mm tape from eBay for 99p each.

That’s the 3 in a row for me. Snapped spring, battery and split cv boot.

Just a quick heads up to you guys if this ever happens. I started my car as normal no bother and drove about 200 yards when the car pitched and the engine light came on so I pulled over where the car was idling no bother so I thought I’d switch it off to see if light would reset. Switched car off and when I went to switch on it was dead so much so that I had no dash lights no radio and no central locking. Phoned a friend who came and jumped car no bother and drove home but steering was twitching. Once home stopped car and tried to start but dead. Locked car manually  with key and rang Abarth who got the car straight in (after jumping again). Turns out my battery had instantly died and they had not seen this before. One the battery test it read zero amps. New battery fitted and car back to new again mind battery was nearly 5 year old. Abarth said the steering twitching was due to load on car with battery being dead. £90 an hour they charge for a diagnostic but only charged me £45 and £65 for an new battery. Great service Abarth.

Prob the best for these cars.  Front is easy with wheels on back is a little more fiddly with spacers needed etc and weeks off but all come in kit you buy.

You can buy them off EBay for silly overpriced prices or like I did buy 5m of white, green and red reflective tape 10mm wide from China off eBay for 99p each.

Cheers.
