Have a look over on the Fiat Forums, there have been quite a few 500's with this problem. Heater box I think, not a cheap fix. Sorry

Have you tried asking on one of the Motorsport forums like Ten-Tenths? I've not been on there for a few years but there used to be some real motor racing mega brains with a wealth of knowledge.

It's something I noticed when my series 3 went in for a service and they gave me a S4 loan car. First thing I do on my 500s is put better bulbs in the headlights but the S4 did seem particularly rubbish.

Welcome along, quite a few Kent based owners on here.
Have a look in the South East Meets section, there is a meet at the cafe at the top of Detling Hill, A249 between Maidstone and Sittingbourne, on Sunday morning. I believe there could be 20+ Abarth there.
