Meets & Events / Festival Italia, Brands Hatch - 13th August 2017
« on: April 15, 2017, 10:11:44 PM »
I see this event is being sponsored by Abarth UK and AOC but can't find anything on the forum regarding it? Looks like many attended  last year so interested to know if AOC are arranging anything in particular?

I have recently used www.cleanyourcar.co.uk

Great service and a thank you letter in the box. They were recommended by my detailer after he gave me a shopping list and instructions on how to care for my car following a two day detailing session.

Showroom / 1st Detail

I was a little disappointed with the paint finish on a new car and the water marks after cleaning so I booked my first ever detailing session. I had booked a new car detail but this became a 2 stage detail due to the bad swirling which we believe most of which was from the dealer.

Stage 1 was a good wash, clay and polish to remove the swirling which some were very deep.

Stage 2 was a Kamikaze Ism coating + overcoat followed by Gtechniq Fabric protection, Dr Leather Dye block and anglewax glass coating.

It looks like a different car! This was all down to Ed Staples from Divine Detail fro Surrey. I did a lot of research obviously being a Detailing virgin but found this chap had lots of positive feedback through various forums and is obsessed with his work and enjoys it. I could have found a local company but in the end I guessed if those with cars well in excess of 100-200k trusted him and talked highly of his work, then who was I to worry with my Abarth.

I'm glad I did and the car looks amazing!

Questions / Detailer or wrapping in Kent?
« on: November 27, 2015, 07:33:32 PM »
Hi

Picked up my circuit grey Abarth last month and already noticed some marks on the bonnet and boot possibly  from bird poo or tree's etc. After a wash I can see still them so I'm considering having the car professionally protected or even consider having some parts wrapped. Think it wouldn't have been a problem with metallic grey finishes but circuit grey is more a pastel colour and more prone to showing marks.

Any advise on professional detailing or wrapping companies in Kent?

Cheers !  :-\

Introductions / Hi from Kent

Hi all, picked up my first ever Abarth 595 Competizione 180 last Sunday from Lipscomb Fiat, Ashford. Finding any excuse to drive it. Love the exhaust, what a noise! Looking forward to attending one of the meets sometime.
