Hi,
When I push the TTC Button in and the dash says connected, I find the traction is lost and becomes dead easy to spin the front drive wheels, am I miss reading the Manual because with the TTC Light off traction is much better, and the ESC blinks as it is meant to but only with TTC Disconnected, TTC light off?? Is this working the wrong way round?

Someone explain please!

Hi All,
Just wanted to turn to you guys as we share something in common, the cars. Couple of things I would like open constructive answers on.
1, I love my Abarth, to the point where I don't want to get it dirty and living on the Fens with the grubby roads it is going to get wrecked, the model is fairly unique on spec, the garage tell me there is no other in the country to the exact spec and colour, ( top audio system, and front seats, leather in the back too,  electric roof) hard to believe??

Do I just get on with driving it and keep cleaning it, but the underneath is going to be dirty too, I only use for joy not to and from work and it only comes out the Garage on dry sunny days.

Who uses theirs all the time regardless?? interested to know!

2, until recently we have been foster carers but now my girls are getting older this has caused issues at home and we gave this up so income has fallen a lot so I might have to sell it anyway. I know this is not a sales platform but if anyone out there might be interested, it could go to a new home.

General Chat / Four Port Exhaust Tail Pipes

Hi Guys,

Long time No Comms, had a couple yes two funerals to go to one a family member, other stuff going on too, but here is the reason for my post.

I have the great sounding four tail pipes which are awesome but the pipes do not look particularly special, like the two tail pipe cars which are finished off so well. What can I put on or over mine to give the visual indication there is real meat on the bones of this exhaust system.

Hi Guys,
Must confess to having read the manual cover to cover the other day. Worthwhile cos I did not realise the see you home stay on lights can be activated by flashing the headlights after engine switch off the more you flash the longer it  ( the lights ) stay on in multiples of ten seconds, anyway I digress. My question is that the hand book warns against taking the turbo gauge over 1.2 to 1.5 bar, even in sport mode, wish I read this earlier cos mine goes right round the dial 2 think its over 2 bar, dont thrash it but I do like to give it a bit of blast during the journey, any advice etc would be appreciated.

General Chat / Trip to Kilmarnock - From Peterborough

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share with you my trip next Tuesday/ Wednesday to Scotland. That will bed the Engine in well, 700 mile round trip, its got to get wet and dirty at some point so might as well be then. I am looking forward to spending time getting to know her better and the roads are much nicer up there compared with Flat Fenland roads. Will look out for other Abarths en route.

General Chat / SOLUTION TO PRESSURE BUFFETING ISSUE IN SOME CARS

Hi All,

Can anyone advise?  I am getting an uncomfortable and loud Buffeting when the Drivers window is down at speeds in excess of 70 on the clock. if I lower the passenger window it equals out and its much better, but at it's worst the front seat shakes and the whole car seams to shudder. Could this be a wheel balance issue, a lot of modern cars tend to suffer from this problem, any ideas please?

General Chat / Early morning ride

Hi All,

Had to just express to you that I had a great proper first ride around the Fens this morning before work :). Out the Garage at 07:30 and had such a good time opening up on the roads round here. Now the wheels have got brake dust stuck to the Alloys and some rust dust off the discs, so it's quite important not to leave it in the garage too long especially after washing. First job tonight then is to wipe the wheels clean and re apply wheel protector, then off out again with the wife and kids for a nice run. Weather is meant to be good in most areas all weekend. Have fun!!

Hi,
Would anyone recommend applying Wax oil from an aerosol to squirt into the seams in the engine bay, top suspension mounts, battery tray etc. Also What about squirting WD 40 into all the seams and all over the engine bay. Will this help guard agains corrosion later on in its life?

Hi,
I hope this is the right area of the forum to post this correct me if wrong. hopefully pictures of my abarth.

Spent most of the day on it three coats of polish by Auto Glym and Supeguard. Only the insid leather to protct next week otherwise all done. Hope you like it. Too scared to drive it its gleaming at the moment. My Kids loved it and was not expecting the power, so we had a good time yesterday out in it before todays full on clean.

Hi All,
Picking up a new Abarth afterwork today, so excited about that. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope to get to know some of you and hopefully see you at the social events. My Fiat 500 Lounge 1.2 goes in to the dealer today. Love the car and looking forward to my new one with power.
