Meets & Events / RWYB 16-4-16
« on: April 03, 2016, 02:56:17 PM »
From just £10 admission and £25 to "sign on", you can take your car or motorcycle out on the famous quarter-mile dragstrip and test it's performance limits in a safe and legal environment.

You don't have to apply for a race licence or own a supercar, most drivers who come along will be racing in normal road cars and bikes. Some participants may have modified cars or even be professional racers in their drag cars but don't worry, you won't be pitched against a 300mph Top Fuel Dragster!

All you need is a valid driving licence (UK, European or International), £10 for admission and a £25 signing-on fee (prices are for standard RWYB days). You'll be entitled to unlimited runs and you'll receive a personal performance print-out showing your reaction times to the start lights, 60ft, 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile times and terminal speed.

This event follows the traditional General Track Day Open Pitlane Format. The only difference with an Early Bird Saver is the price starts lower than normal and increases gradually as more drivers book on.

General Car Track Days are ideally suited to track day drivers with experience but all levels of driver are very welcome. Bedford Autodrome's GT Circuit is not only one of the longest trackday circuits in the country but also one of the safest. The huge run off areas make it an ideal venue whether this is your first trackday or your fiftieth - there is nowhere else like it in the country.

As always, instructors will be on hand at all times to offer advice and one-to-one in-car tuition, for a small fee. Open-top vehicles are not suitable for this unless you have an intercom.

This General Car Track day has an Open Pit Lane format enabling you to go out on the circuit as you choose. Your day will begin with registration, followed by your car being noise tested. Please pay special attention to the noise limit listed.
