Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Unable to update TomTom SatNav on Uconnect 7" system - Any ideas?
« on: January 17, 2020, 10:40:15 AM »
Hello,
I am trying to update my TomTom integrated SatNav (Uconnect 7") on my 2017 595 Competizione 180 but it fails...
I have:
- A new USB key stick formatted to Fat32.
- Downloaded the latest .zip file and extracted to the stick as per instructions (Including the license file)
I plug the stick in to the car socket after all start up routines are complete and the car is running. It then picks up the stick asks me if I want to continue which I acknowledge and it seems to start but will always then fail with a code "Update failed(0xa40000)". I remove the USB stick and try again but the error repeats.
Anyone had this or know what it means? The car is under 3 years old so the 3 year map update should still apply?
Hoping the combined wisdom may have an answer as most Abarth dealers seem unwilling or unable to help?
Best regards,
David
