For Sale / Pioneer DA02 head unit, double din fitting kit and winter tyres
« on: November 18, 2017, 02:37:43 PM »
Hi All,

Since Dorries has now gone I am getting rid of a bunch of bits.

Set of four Michelin Alpin 5 195/45/16  winter tyres on crap steelies - All have at least 7mm tread -They could do with a refurb or just grab the tyres off. They have had one season of wear and are in great condition.  £200. -

Pioneer DA02 Head unit bought off ebay to fit the car but never found the time, also a fitting kit for the older style 500 - £80 for the both.

Prefer pickup near Hull or can move them down to Hucknall if that makes life easier. Of course you can arrange your own courier if you prefer

Your Abarth / Asking price advice - 2011 Modified A500C
« on: July 20, 2017, 11:10:43 AM »
Hi All,

I am going through a transition currently and considering selling Dorrie  to fund my next vehicle (not 100% what I am going for but the 124 is looking interesting now they are coming down to a more sensible price). Now, anyone that knows the car is aware that I have put a fair amount of effort to keep her as fun, safe and reliable as possible.  I refuse to sell her in on a PX since they would give me far below what she is worth in love and investment. However, for someone that wants a quick reliable 500c with plenty of lovely stuff added she would fit the bill nicely.

So, I am looking for what the car would be worth to someone that wants a project that has got solid underpinnings and is ready for the next stages.

The Skinny:

2011 Abarth 500 Cabriolet
Full leather interior
MTA gearbox
38K (just had its 36K service and a general check through for anything that needs tightening, replacing etc)
Main dealer history (apart from one stamp from the previous sales place)
MOT until March 2018

Mods:

Brembo disks front and rear - Fitted March 2017
Greenstuff pads front and rear  - Fitted March 2017
Braided brake hoses front and rear
Koni suspension front and rear
Eibach Sport Pro springs
Custom refurbished ten spokes in chrome red/copper finish
GTT Induction kit with BOV
MM Bombardone
Remapped  by A1 in Hull to around 170HP and 265ft/lbs

So, if I can't get a sensible price above book I will strip all the parts I have fitted and return her to stock, that would be a shame but thought I would out it out here first.

So please guys, any idea what I shoudl be asking.

For Sale / Scuderia Abarth Metal Badges - Testing the water
« on: July 19, 2017, 11:30:48 AM »
Hi Folks,

I mentioned on another thread a while back that I am looking at getting some Scuderia Abarth Scorpion wing badges made up.  They will come as a pair, and will be around 100mm x  80mm each. Price is unclear at the moment but waiting to find out the cost of getting them enamelled etc.  And will follow a familiar pattern as below:

Any interest?

Price not confirmed but I reckon around £20-£25 a set posted in the UK

Hi All,

Just got my remap so I am shifting my Bluespark box. Its been on the car for about two months and is in spot on condition. Comes with the original box, cloth bag and the bypass loop.  Its been great and it certainly adds a fair amount of fizz to the car and brings it up to what it should have been from factory. I dynoed it at 172 with the GTT induction kit and a few mods, not bad investment I think

Also in the package I am throwing in a still sealed BMC performance filter for the standard airbox

£125  £110 shipped in the UK

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / P0110 MAF error
« on: March 21, 2017, 08:02:45 AM »
Hi All,

Looking fr some advice on the an error I am getting currently. Torque Pro gives me a P0110 after running for a few minutes. This is after putting a new tuning box on so I am unsure if this relates to that or if the box is taking a near failing MAF over its limit.

Also, since I am having to use the car is this a risk running with the MAF playing up?

General Chat / Aliens spaceship over East Yorkshire
« on: May 09, 2016, 08:01:58 AM »
Saw a big shiny thing up in the sky, somewhere over the Costa del Bridlington. I can only assume it was an alien abduction waiting happen but apparently its called "The Sun". Watched it for a few hours and took some photos and passed them on to the correct authorities. Oddly, it was like a wave of love spread across the crowd, well, both of us. Probably some alien pacifier ray thing.

Watch the skies...... "The Sun" is coming (not the wholly owned subsidiary of Rupert Morlock empire of filth version apparently)

General Chat / Locking wheel bolt socket problem.
« on: May 02, 2016, 02:36:45 PM »
Hi All,

Managed to misplace my lock nut adapter by the roadside but bought one that looked right but it hasn't. Any ideas how best to get the right one? Would I be correct in assuming its related to the number on the case back?

General Chat / Bonnet adjusment on 500
« on: April 21, 2016, 12:35:46 PM »
Hi All,

Anyone know how to adjust how the bonnet site. I have some irritating gaps on the passenger side. I have tried the screw in adjusters but these don't make much difference to the side but are fine on the front. Anyone got any bodyshop experience that might help?

For Sale / Arm rest in black
« on: April 17, 2016, 07:15:46 PM »
Since I was getting annoyed with the arm rest in the car since I am not accustomed to having one I took it out this weekend. Its the sliding adjustment version with lift up storage. In very good condition with the mounting screws of course.

Looking at £40, buyer can collect from Hucknall or Brough (East Yorkshire) or I can post it at cost. This one comes with the sturdy base that covers both rear cup holders. I will bang up some pictures shortly.

General Chat / Oh, thats annoying...
« on: April 08, 2016, 04:59:50 PM »
Hi All,

Came out to take Dorrie to work today to find some miscreant had thoughtfully peeled most of the back quarter of my black wrap and left it hanging. Despite there being no logical reason for doing so I can only assume they wanted to see what colour pants she had one or something. So, currently back to all grey but having to keep the bonnet in black since she is primer underneath. I can see why we are not allowed to have guns any more. So, time for a claybar cleanse at the weekend and make her the same shiny all over. Unimpressed by losing a £500 wrap but can't change it so as a wise man said, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade... oh, and go on a killing spree where the scrotes congregate

On the upside it may have slightly improved my fuel economy.  :'(

General Chat / Black and red driving footwear
« on: April 05, 2016, 08:29:05 AM »
Jus tin case you fancy it one of my favorite sources for gents footwear is currently doing a special on driving footwear and have these rather natty black suede and red rubber soled Italo style driving foot covers. They do plenty of other colours and other designs. Take a look, I am currently seeing if I can wangle a further discount for AOC members. Current price is a more than reasonable £65
