Yes my car has clocked up some mileage, (149,900!) and I've been lucky to only have one mechanical break down but today's took the biscuit.
On a lesson when I saw some steam coming up from the bonnet. Told the student to pull over, opened the bonnet and there's no coolant. To cut a long story short, the plastic connection between the thermostat and the pipe going to the expansion tank had broke. I know this seems like a, "but it has done almost a hundred and fifty thousand miles" but, this connection serves absolutely no purpose what so ever. I simply attached the pipe directly to the thermostat and jobs a good'en.
The only reason why that part is fitted is to break and hope that the owner goes back to them so they can scam a £200 supply and fit for a part which costs 20p!
4 hours lost today abarth. Grrrrrrrr

Does anyone know where I can get one of these from tomorrow in London. Local dealer doesn't have any!

As some of you know I use mine as a learner car. Bought brand new and on the road March 1st 2012.
She has done 116,000 miles!
In the last 2 months I've put a new clutch and fly wheel in, new wishbones and a service. Treated the leather and even washed it's belly! Thursday the engine management came on. Disconnected the battery and reconnected yesterday to have the car show me the date in Turkish but menu in Italian. Speedo died too. Did a diog on it and came back with a list of faults so discounted the tuning box and so far it's ok but how long do I keep her for! Abarth and fiat have been awful over the years to the point that I don't really want to renew my fleet with them sadly so what do I do? I love teaching in it but I think it's going to be a money pit from here on.

This is my baby. New on March 2012. Has now done 95000 miles and still tight as a drum. It's had a couple tweeks. Port and polished, sport cam, tweeted timing, TMC box. Might be exchanging soon but waiting for Wessex to get back to me.
