Meets & Events / Cars in the Park , Beacon Park, Lichfield WS13 6RA 1st & 2nd July

Cars In the Park, Beacon Park, Lichfield. WS13 6RA. 1st & 2nd July. http://www.carsinthepark.com
I now have the Parking Passes for this Event. We have a Pitch for 20 cars.
I know this clashes with other events but this is unavoidable.
You will need to arrive before 11am both days.
To distribute the passes please PM me your email address, or I will be camping on site from Friday evening 30th June.
Contact me on 07564495838. I will have spare passes with me to hand out at the entrance.
This is not restricted to just Abarths as we need to put as many cars as we can on the pitch.

AOME Meets / AOME is closing down.

Hi, AOME is being deleted from facebook the 14 day countdown has begun. 
There are many Abarth owner clubs these days, so its time to reduce the number. I to wish  thank all those who attended the meets. It started at the waterbridge pub staffordshire in March2014. Moving onto regular meets at carsington water, also meets at Darlestone Inn, Chetwyn Arms, Stafford Castle. Met lots of lovely people many of whom we still see at AOC and Curborough(Salvo still to name this regular meet) events .
I would suggest to Bertie to remove this link  in the future.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Air con filter

Any body know where the air con filter is, not the pollen filter. I have been told my hissing sound when air con is on could be this filter. Is it in the engine bay or under the dash.

General Chat / Android head unit.

Well clarion inform me my head unit is unrepairable. Will supply me with a refurb same model for £298.
So rather than that I would like to replace it with a android head unit, anybody fitted one, any recommendations. One without DVD/cd drives all my music is on sd or usb. Have had a look but which one any input would be helpful.

Spoke about this yesterday. From the web site http://www.abarthownersclub.com/ the facebook link takes you to https://www.facebook.com/AbarthOwnersClubUK. But has no activity since 18th June. Is this page now defunked. I have used this facebook until recently when I was informed of the other facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/329638953900941/. Should the link take you to this. It was just a bit confusing for me.

Been messing about with the obd phone scanners apps, found this one dashcommand, £6 on playstore. On going through the dashboards came across the abarth 2015, not tested on car yet.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Rear Knocking Noise

For a couple of weeks now I have had a rear knocking noise more pronounce slowing down. I have had shocks checked, exhaust, wheel bearings. But the latest I have been told is one of my rear pirelli's has raised tread common fault with low profile tyres . Never heard of this before but have been advised to replace ASAP.

Hi just wanted to let y'all know I have a carbon wrap bonnet and spoiler. I treated my car to it for donington event. But since I polished it it rained. At D'ton it was noticed that my bonnet was turning white(sorry not photo's didn't think). I have used various polishes on my car but this is the first time I have had a reaction like this.

I am doing another project and enquired for a replacement climate control surround, the one you pull off so you have access to the screws for the dash.
I know things are expensive these days but its just a piece of plastic with holes in. They want £86.99p for it.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Wheel nut torque settings

Hi Its time I took the wheels off to clean, I have searched for the torque settings and they range from 80Nm to 130Nm.
Does anybody know what are the correct settings, and is it right the lock nut is a lower setting.

For Sale / Pair of rear black surround lights

Due to fitting new lights I have a pair of Black surround rear lights. Genuine fiat 500 GT/Sport. Only 6mths old unmarked and with original boxes. Cost £120 from partsworld will accept £75.
I am going to Donington(sun) 3rd May.
If require posting it will be extra. I am in Birmingham.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Advice on repairing paint peel.
