So i took it upon myself to fit the AC grill the other day, main reason being i can’t afford for someone else to do it for me! The prospect of taking the front bumper off didn’t fill me with ease or confidence especially when i have a very limited skill set but hey ho - i hope at the very least i don’t break anything on the little lad!
Anyway i don’t want to go on and put people to sleep but it was not that difficult and pretty straight forward to install - i’m very pleased with the new look and extra weight lost from the old grill and fogs which i have only ever switched on once to check if they were working! woohoo thumbs up all round!
My question: Does the bottom crash bar and radiators look wonky or set at an angle for any reason? It doesn’t look right to me, or is it my car that is crooked? Its only 5-10mm but enough to get my goat. I didn’t put him that way so who or what did? Nothing i saw looked out of place or pushed in or bent so i’m confused. The bumper went back on as easy as taking off and everything is back the way it was, but still those bits are crooked. I should have taken more measurements but I was eager to get the car back to one piece. Maybe i should just tilt my head when i look but then the whole world turns wonky!
Crash damage? Is there any way that we can find out the TOTAL history of a car or do i have to be working for the department of transport for this kind of info? I can only think that at some point he’s had a little nudge or knock - not visible as its under all that plastic.
