So, Ive only had the car since November but have already been busy. Next on the list is a Mishimoto catch can and then replace the stock gauge and pod with a Defi Racer gauge & black billet pod.

Updated...had the roof, spoiler and rear light panels wrapped yesterday. ;D

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Advice for a soon to be owner.
« on: June 13, 2016, 11:15:41 PM »
As some of you may know I recently put a deposit down for a series 4 Competizione. I've never owned an Abarth before so have gone a bit mad with the extras and added the performance pack, carbon dash, Beats hifi, 7" touchscreen  & sunroof.
I'm going to have  Heko's & carbon mirror caps ready to fit but would like to do more. I'd like some advice about whether or not I should be doing them to a brand new vehicle or would be better off waiting until it's run in...or not bother with any of them. I would have liked to fit some lowering springs and spacers but the access road to the new development I'm living in would cause clearance issues unfortunately. So with that said here's what I have in mind...

A TMC Abarth Tuning Kit with Android App Control
200 Cell Cat
Pipercross Air filter
Forge Blow off/Dump valve kit

Your thoughts, suggestions  and advice please.

Cheers

Steve

Introductions / Time to introduce myself.

Hi all, I've been a member for a couple of months now but finally have a reason to post...but before I get to that a bit about about me.
I'm Steve, 45 years young with two kids aged 15 & 10, and about to be living in the Dartford (Kent) area.
My car history is quite varied starting aged 18 with an old 1981 Toyota Corolla, then Opel Manta Berlinetta, a Caterham clone, a new Mk2 MR2 in 1991, new Wrangler Jeep the following year, then an Escort Cabrio which was my last car as a single man. After that the cars were technically the wifes - a new Renault Clio, new Landrover Freelander in 2004. From 2005 until last year transport was a crappy '03 plate Focus Zetec. Last year we bought my favourite of all of them - a Citroen Cactus...Black with black 17" alloys, no roof bars, and a natural leather interior. The only car I've had that made me smile every time I got behind the wheel.
I've always liked the Abarth and had planned on getting one when the kids were older however a couple of months ago things changed when my wife left me after almost 20 years together and took the Cactus. But don't feel sorry for me because after the initial shock life is looking good again. I'm about to move into a brand new apartment and today things got even better because I've ordered something special - a facelifted 180 Competizione in Gara white...with just a few extras!

Performance Pack with black leather Sabelts and red customisation kit
Beats Audio system
7"HD UConnect
Google Android Auto
Sunroof
Carbon Dash

Anyway that's me - I'm planning on going to the Ace Cafe regularly when I get it so if any of you are within reach maybe see you there.
