General Chat / Abarth Punto scorpione numbers
« on: January 17, 2017, 08:10:16 PM »
Scorpione UK numbers.
I have done some research into how many Scorpione Editions were registered in the uk and after an exhaustive search and calls I now have I believe all the Scorpione sold and registered in the uk.
Below are all the registrations in date order. There are some interesting facts imerged like only 2 are registered in 2014 (62 Plate) mine was the 8th to be registered. There are only 9 and I believe one was written off confirming that only 10 were built for the uk but still trying to confirm that or if only 9 were ever sold.
if anyone knows of another not listed I would be interested to know.

Abarth Punto Evo / Abarth punto website
« on: December 02, 2016, 11:55:16 AM »
Hi folks, I'm in the process of building a website dedicated to the Abarth punto, as this model seems to be kept in the dark compared to the 500 it will contain all information, buying guides, tuners, parts, cars for sale and everything about these cars in one place. Check out www.abarthpunto.co.uk it's still being developed so as things are added each link will work when that page is finished. It's live now.

Questions / Abarth body shop
« on: November 25, 2016, 10:55:23 PM »
Does anyone know if any Abarth dealerships have their own body Shop? Really trying to get the Matt black stripes re-done on the bonnet of my punto scorpione, these were sprayed on not applied as graphics like the supersport. I've visited 5 body shops in my area and none will take the job on!!! They say it's a special process and I'm guessing only Abarth knows how to do it!!.....please help someone. Been trying for several months, just want them done.

Do Abarth dealerships have there own body shop?
My scorpione's bonnet stripes (which are sprayed on) have gone a bit "funny" and I want them redone. Trouble is I've tried 4 body shops local to me and they all said they dont know how the matt black was done and all refuse to take the job!!!! I really want this done ( money is not the problem within reason) I even have the email from Abarth about the procedure but no one wants to do it.....can anyone help please

General Chat / Scorpione owners
« on: August 04, 2016, 12:31:47 AM »
Having just purchased a very rare scorpione (only 10 made for uk market I believe) I would like to know if there are any other owners on here. I also read conflicting accounts about numbers made worldwide, some say 199 some say 99 can anyone throw light on exact numbers.

Abarth Grande Punto / Remap for AGP
« on: March 26, 2016, 09:54:15 AM »
Has anyone had their AGP remapped? If so is it any good, I've booked my car in next month at Celtic tuning in Cornwall, they actually come to you. They seem a really good company and the remap carries a 14 money back garauntee and a 12 month warranty so all good. They quote £295 and will take the power to 187bhp and 201 ftlb of torque. Does this make a difference just on sport boost or on both settings? How much extra strain on the clutch with more torque, just want to know people's opinions. I don't want to fit a TMC box as that's generic and a remap is tailored to your car.

General Chat / If only I had a pound every time someone said...
« on: March 25, 2016, 10:07:57 PM »
Not sure if anyone else gets frustrated by the usual comments and questions like " what's an Abarth? Never heard of it" and followed by " it's a Fiat really"  or in my case " it's just a badged up fiat punto" The best one I ever heard was " Abarth, it's that a Korean car company"
I think it's great to drive something that has heritage, history, pedigree and to a certain extent exclusivity, I can't think of another hot hatch I would rather drive....well ok maybe a mint Strada Abarth 130 tc
Anyone else had stupid questions etc about the Abarth brand
