Hello,

Sorry I have no idea...

If I was to even think about this I would probably start with parts diagrams to see if there is any commonality and go from ther but no idea where you would find any diagrams.

And I think the car was about 6 months too soon for CarPlay which I would like to add if I can find a way.

Best regards,

David

Hello,

By way of closing this off the car went to PMS in Haverfordwest for a 3 year service and they performed a free software update to remove the code I was getting.

I then downloaded version 1040 from the Mopar website (4 x map files and 1 x licence file) and tried again. This time it went through the upgrade of the maps as expected and is now running then latest available version with a map date of October 2019.

As you only get free updates for the first 3 years I suspect if I want newer ones in the future I will have to pay for them... Unless they release a new one before the 17th of the month  ;D

Best regards,

David

Hello,

I am trying to update my TomTom integrated SatNav (Uconnect 7") on my 2017 595 Competizione 180 but it fails...

I have:

 - A new USB key stick formatted to Fat32.
 - Downloaded the latest .zip file and extracted to the stick as per instructions (Including the license file)

I plug the stick in to the car socket after all start up routines are complete and the car is running. It then picks up the stick asks me if I want to continue which I acknowledge and it seems to start but will always then fail with a code "Update failed(0xa40000)". I remove the USB stick and try again but the error repeats.

Anyone had this or know what it means? The car is under 3 years old so the 3 year map update should still apply?

Hoping the combined wisdom may have an answer as most Abarth dealers seem unwilling or unable to help?

Best regards,

David

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Re: Xenon bulb change ...

Hello,

I took the covers off to change the indicator bulbs that are accessed through this a while back. I put in silvered bulbs as I personally hate the “fried egg”look of the orange bulbs externally. It was fiddly but access after the covers were removed looked ok for the Headlight units although I did not remove them.

However if you have fat fingers and thumbs then you would be well advised to get a few of the bolts holding the covers - there are 4 on each - on as I did lose a few somewhere when putting it back together as access is somewhat fiddly and tight! They dropp down somewhere harmless I hope never to be seen again!

Hope it goes well.

Best regards,

David
