For Sale / Abarth 500 for sale
« on: April 16, 2021, 08:03:25 PM »
So I am parting with my Abarth and it’s been a good ride,
It’s a 500 with full monza exhaust system , cold air induction kit and it’s got a blue spark tuner on it, it’s got the full sun roof and digital climate, it has a full service history and as most of you will know I used this car to commute from surrey to Dartford everyday for the last 5 years , it has 100k of good miles on it and is on its second cam belt . I have spared no money when it comes to this car.

Let me know if your interested

£3999

Official oil and filter and plugs cost less than £100, take them to a local garage and get them to service it and it should be under £200

I service my own car as its a pretty simple job to do.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Re: Reset service indicator

If you leave it it goes out by itself after a few hundred miles, Ive always thought the service intervals are too far apart and tend to oil change at 10k-12k not the 18k my computer says.

A lot of people have this issue and the answer is easy but can be frightening first time

Undo all the pipes connecting  to the filter and unbolt it then it's a case of wiggling and pulling, it's connected to rubber mounts that clip in so you need a bit of force to get it off.

Be brave and it will pop off

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Re: Rear brakes
« on: March 12, 2018, 03:42:10 PM »
Changed mine over (new discs and pads) all round at about 35k but I am a motorway drive, the rear discs where a nightmare to change and the calipers need a special tool to wind them down.

The fronts were a doddle.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Re: Oil change
« on: March 12, 2018, 03:39:41 PM »
Yup 3 litres of the abarth oil, some use the 5-50 but I use the 10 as it stands up better to all the motorway driving I do. the Oil filter is a bit fiddly but persevere and you will get it out.
