Title: High quote from AF
Post by: HarrierJint on December 04, 2017, 11:25:03 AM
Just a reminder to shop around, with the club discount I had a quote from AF for above £800 pa. The guy on the phone almost sounded surprised that my quote from Privilege was £500 with protected no claims.

With a little more shopping I just got a quote of £438pa from Esure (£399 if I paid up front rather than monthly), if I paid the amount in full rather than monthly AXA was £394 although that admittedly moved from excess from £200 to £400 Esure don't and get good reviews.

With a slight adjust of excess from £250 to £300 I got Esure down to £340.

That's a pretty big difference from the £800 from AF. Seriously, shop around.

I was with Esure before and always had good quotes, however early this year I changed to Tesco however I'll shop around again when it's time to renew this year as Tesco apparently aren't very good if you do need to make a claim.

Yeah AXA got some pretty bad reviews so I was glad when Esure got down to £340 as they seemed okay (I guess you never know in that respect!)

It`s always worth shopping around at renewal time, it`s just common sense.
As far as reviews go, every insurance company gets slated at some point.  You pays your money and you makes your choice.

Yup, pay and hope you never need them.
