Afternoon all,
Ready to dip my toe in the water with car detailing. Bought myself some products to get myself started. Granted they may not be the best products out in the market but it's a good starting point for me :)
(http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h67/Villagreen/Mobile%20Uploads/940812DE-9E07-4805-882D-BC2A7AEB2D54_zpslohijgzv.jpg) (http://s61.photobucket.com/user/Villagreen/media/Mobile%20Uploads/940812DE-9E07-4805-882D-BC2A7AEB2D54_zpslohijgzv.jpg.html)
Will start with:
- wash and clean the outside and dry it off using 2 bucket method
- vacuum the interior and go over the interior with some meguiars interior detailer
- clean all the glass using meguiars glass cleaner
- clean and protect rubber and trim with meguiars ultimate back
- then once car is dry I will polish it with autoglym super resin polish
- then apply a layer of meguiars deep crystal wax
- finally finish with a final layer of autoglym high definition wax for the "show car" look. Tempted to eventually go for some autofinese illusion
I will see how I get on! And post pictures once complete. For those detailers and those with experience feel free to give me some tips and pointers :)
Thanks
Stef

Evening all!
So it's been a long afternoon and I've spend the last 6hrs detailing the car. I'm quite proud of how it came out :) will let the detailers on the forum be the judge of that...
Very please with the gloss mirror shine from the autoglym high definition wax!
Here are some photos and reflections :)

That looks stunning. Did you have to do the wife's ?

Thanks Tommy and Steve.
I did have to do hers too but she was happy with just a basic wash and clean after I told her how long it would take for a full detail.
