Title: Favorite Detailing Product?
Post by: Bertie on February 01, 2015, 02:27:30 PM
If you had to chose your favorite detailing product, what would it be and why?

For me, its my Citrus Power pre wash, just cant use enough of it in the winter months! Dissolves all the road salt and grime within a couple of minutes!

Perfect for a quick touchless wash!

Chemical Guys hybrid V07, best quick detailer I've used by some margin

Used the AF Citrus Power today and it really is the mutt's nuts. Did a pre-wash, pressure wash, snow foam (AF Avalance) , pressure wash for a swift  touchless job and for such a simple job using good quality products the car has come up nice and clean - just enough to get the dirt and grit off the car whilst I await warmer climes and the chance to get stuck in proper.

It's so quick I also did the wife and neighbours car also - only did the neighbours car because it was windy and I covered it in snow foam so decided to give it a clean too!

It may sound a bit daft, but I would have to nominate my other half.
I've been outside freezing my fingers off and she has been bringing me regular cups of tea!

What do you think of their glass sealant?

I'm thinking of using it for a new car protection detail on my dads new car!

It really is good

I've used Sonus and Car Lack sealing kits and platinum glass beats them hands down

Difficult for me.

Gtechniq G6 is simply the best glass cleaner I've used. It's excellent. But I think my favourite is CarPro Reload. Such a great quality sealant that offers great, last protection and is easy to apply :)

I dont know what is my favourite product but so far but I really do like Auto Glym's Car Galss Polish.

If you want clarity then this is the stuff to buy, makes windows like new again and even has anti misting agent. Can even improve wiper blade functionality!

http://www.autoglym.com/products/products/car-glass-polish

Check the video out on their website. I bought this originally to remove those nasty water spots that you can get when droplets dry on your car. Your standard glass cleaner spray just doesn't have the muscle to  remove these!

As it's a polish this has abrasives in it so it will easily remove these and stains etc. Can be used inside and out really easy to use. JUST DONT USE ON YOUR LIGHTS!

Once your have cleaned/polished just seal with a glass sealant, carbon collective seems popular right now. I use Auto Finsse tough coat for all windows except front windscreen. Not sure why, Auto Finesse say it's for safety reasons not to...

Probably because the wiper blades won't work on a highly polished surface.

Gyeon Wetcoat, has to be one of the easiest of products to use and gives decent amount of protection.

I think Poorboy's QD+ is brilliant.  It's great for keeping on top of any build up.  I also love their Natural Look interior cleaner/dressing.  Gives a great finish and smells amazing!!

Gtechniq C2 - Quick detailer  for me, it just seems to help protect the paint and adds extra gloss.

I got given a free sample last year and haven't looked back since.
